What is the EIC Code?

The EIC code is a unique identifier assigned by authorized entities, according to the standards established by ENTSO-E (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity). It is used for:

  • Ensuring effective communication between operators, suppliers and other stakeholders;
  • Facilitating trading and reporting processes.

What is the ACER Code?

 

 

 

The ACER code is issued in accordance with the REMIT Regulation (Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency) and allows the identification of reporting entities in the context of wholesale energy markets. The main purpose of the ACER code is to:
  • Increasing the transparency and integrity of the energy market;
  • Preventing market manipulation and abusive practices;
  • Facilitate reporting to the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).
