Consumer Rights and Obligations

Rights of electricity consumers:
  • Right of access to electricity networks: Every consumer has the right to connect to electricity distribution networks, under the conditions provided for by the regulations in force.
  • Right to consume electricity: Consumers have the right to use electricity continuously and safely, according to the contract concluded with the supplier.
  • Right to choose their electricity supplier: Any consumer has the freedom to choose or change their electricity supplier, without paying additional fees for this change.
  • Right to be informed: Customers have the right to be clearly and completely informed about the general contracting conditions, applicable prices and tariffs, as well as about any scheduled interruptions in the supply of electricity.
  • Right to request contractual changes: Consumers may request the supplier to modify or supplement the supply contract and its annexes, in the event of the emergence of new elements or if it is considered necessary to detail some contractual clauses.
  • Right of access to metering groups and systems: Customers have access to metering equipment to verify the correctness of billed consumption.
  • Right to request the remedy of faults: In the event of problems in the network, consumers have the right to request the supplier to take measures to remedy them quickly.
  • Right to compensation: Consumers have the right to request compensation for damages caused by the supplier, if these are proven.
